Friday Meet and Greet

Here's a nice pic of Josie and my mom just before the Meet and Greet.

Friday Meet and Greet

A few pictures of the kids as they were waiting for the family to arrive.

Friday Meet and Greet

While we nibbled munchies and waited for other family members to arrive we put our memories to work and tried to answer a few Hocking Trivia questions. Michele's family were prize winners and so was my brother and Kathy. Aunt Helen was always a very close second in most wins!

Competition was high during our Guys against Gals Dart game. Just about everyone joined in and Aunt Helen was most helpful to us girls and we only lost by a tiny bit. Steve was the pro who got the winning 2 points for the guys team.

You might think that the 30 degree temps would dissuade anyone from roasting hot dogs and marshmallows - NOT! We had BBQ beef for lunch which did not require a fire but later on everyone was feeling hungry and they were quite willing to roast a few hot dogs. Tim kept the older folks fed, thanks Tim!

Here's a great picture of Jessica at the picnic. Tim put up a tire swing on the squirrel tree for the event and all the kids had a blast spinning and twirling about.

Picnic at the Hocking Homestead

Some pics of the family crowd.

Picnic at the Hocking Homestead

Just a few more family members trying to keep cool.

Picnic at the Hocking Homestead

We had lots of willing participants for our team relay games and our Scavenger Hunt but I think that the water balloon fight was the most fun! Steve got me real good!

Aunti Anne was most helpful in figuring out our nameless pictures - pictures that Grandma had of people that I didn't recognize. Thanks Aunt Anne!

Picnic at the Hocking Homestead

Most everyone brought an item that evoked a memory of Grandma or Grandpa, Jess, or Dick and shared them with the other family members. Aunt Helen's memory is still top notch as she shared many interesting family stories with us.

My brother's youngest son wandered here and there and was as cute as ever!

The guys went out on the baseball field despite the heat, those crazy kids! I attempted to get the adults out there for a game but not too many were interested, understandably. Bravo to my brother, Steve, and Trevor for braving the heat and playing some ball with the kids.

Of course I have quite a few more family pictures but I just wanted to put a few up for everyone to see and enjoy. I will likely send you the pictures of your family to your email for your own family pictures files. Everyone was so wonderful during our picture shoot in spite of the melting, hot, humid temperature - I really appreciated it! You all looked lovely!
